Each graha's sidereal longitude is taken from the ephemeris for 17 September 2026 at 06:00 UT, using the Lahiri ayanamsa.
Its house is counted from the rashi, which is the gochara method of Phaladeepika chapter 26 — not from the Western sun sign.
Favourable houses per graha follow the standard gochara table. The daily reading weights the Moon most heavily, since it changes sign every two and a quarter days; the monthly and yearly readings weight Jupiter, Saturn and Rahu, which is what actually distinguishes one month or year from the next.
